In 2008 I became the property steward for the Great Pond Mountain Conservation Trust. This is a forester's dream and I love to work with this bunch of dedicated people managing 4200 acres of land in Orland. I certainly also still run my consulting business and  welcome new customers.

MAPPING AND GROWTH SIMULATION

some of Jake Maier Forestry's many services for landowners and foresters

The aerial photo to the left shows water bodies (black), roads (white in lower left corner), railroad bed now snowmobile trail (diagonally through the photo), the different tree stands on a property, and a variety of other information. A soil map for the same area is in the lower right corner.

The graphic representation of an inventory (each inventory plot separately recognizable) can be seen to the right with perspective view, overhead view and profile view. These graphics give a easy way for a landowner to see the structure of the forest .
